The Maule Valley is very luminous, with sub humid Mediterranean climate leading to clearly defined seasons and approximately 700 mm of annual rainfall. The above conditions provide the valley with temperature fluctuations ranging from 15°C to 18°C between day and night, thus allowing for adequate grape growth and ripening that enhance varietal expression, and favor the development of aromas and flavors in the grapes.

Our 95 hectares are inland in the Tutuven subvalley. Landforms in the area are winding, with sedimentary alluvial, fluvio-glacial and colluvial soils. The main varieties grown by Viña Sutil in Maule are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Chardonnay, Petit Verdot.
